Students Council

There is a democratically elected purely Non-Political Students' Council in the college. This has possible only by the Education Bill of Government of West Bengal to make the college free from political biasness and political hazards. All regular students of the college are members of the students' Council. It functions under a College Constitution which regulates the activities of the Council including election and formation of the Executive Committee of the Council. The Council is pledged to uphold the dignity and high academic ideas of the College. The Council organizes students' participation in all co-curricular activities for the promotion of fraternal relation and fostering corporate life under the guidance of the Principal. The Council generally organizes the Freshers' Day, Annual Social, Annual Games and Sports, Educational Excursions and other activities conducive to the general welfare and academic attainments of the students. The Council also takes the responsibility of publishing the College Magazine under the guidance of the teachers of the College. Dr. Purna Chandra Maity, Principal of the college is the President of the Students' Council as per New Education Act, Government of West Bengal.
